    CHABOT MARLINS MEET #4 RECAP

    Hopefully everyone is enjoying their weekend off & had a great 4th of July! The score of our meet against Mission Valley was MV 652, Chabot 420. This puts us 34 points closer to them than we were last year. Here are some highlights:

    • High point honors go to Diego Agron and Elma Sabanovic
    • Swimmers who dropped time in 3 out of 3 individual events: Phoebe Kelly, Christina LaBang, Roman Montalvo (almost 3 seconds off his 50 back), Savannah Mora, James Sargent (5 seconds off his 25 fly), and Emily Wong (over 2 seconds off her 25 free)
    • Swimmers who dropped time in 2 out of 2 individual events: Claire Brochu, Evan Cornell (almost 4 seconds off both his 25 back & 25 free), Kassidy Cutler, Justin Davis, Mikella Deigert (4 seconds off her 50 breast), Griffin Kelly (3 seconds off his 25 back), Jake Lee, Alena Loera, Camelia Moler (9 seconds off her 25 fly), Austin Mooney (4 seconds off his 25 back), Wyatt Mooney, Elena Robuchon (almost 5 seconds off her 50 back), and Sophie Smith
    • Other notable time drops: Diego Agron dropped almost 2 seconds off his 50 free, Corinne Arakawa dropped 2 seconds off her 50 back, Nathan Arakawa dropped 2 seconds off his 100 IM, Claire Brewer dropped 2 seconds off her 25 fly, Noah Elkaim dropped 2 seconds off his 100 IM, Trent Glaze dropped 2 seconds off his 100 IM, Noah Halverson dropped 4 seconds off his 25 back, Tyler Hummer dropped 13 seconds off his 100 IM(!), Catie Kenny dropped 5 seconds off her 25 free, Ella Koch dropped 3 seconds off her 50 back, Mateo Massimo dropped almost 5 seconds off his 50 back, Kayah Matangelo dropped 7 seconds off her 100 IM, Hannah Miller dropped 5 seconds off her 50 breast, Liam Mopia dropped 4 seconds off his 50 back, Isabelle Nicole dropped almost 7 seconds off her 100 IM, Aidan Swaggerty dropped 5 seconds off his 50 back, and Riha Williams dropped 2 seconds off her 25 fly
    • 13-14 girls dominated in the medley relay: After the team of Lauren French, Noele Jamal, Jessica Sage, and Lucy Ryken won the event, the second team of Kyndal Spring, Allison Mitchell, Emily Chin, and Zoey Halverson battled to the end and took second place
    • In the 11-12 girls 100 IM Alenea Loera used a very fast breaststroke leg to pull ahead of multiple swimmers, and finished in second place behind Claire Wong
    • Diego Agron joined Tommy Ryken in the exclusive club of swimmers who have swum below 24 seconds in the 50 free with his time of 23.78
